Osseous Surgery for Pocket Reduction

Osseous Surgery for Pocket Reduction

Osseous surgery is reshaping the tissue and bone around the teeth to make the pockets smaller.  It also allows for access to further clean the root surfaces of the teeth.

Shallower pockets can lead to less bone loss and tooth loss over time.  This procedure also helps to facilitate easier daily oral hygiene by allowing better access to parts of the tooth that were previously hiding under the gum pocket.
